Due to amazing growth over the past 2 years, Evolve Hospitality are looking for a Business Manager to join their recruitment team at their branch in central Cambridge. You will be leading a team of 3 with the intention to develop and build your business year on year in an exciting market with huge growth potential.

This is a great role for somebody with proven management or mentorship experience within the Hospitality Sector or who is already a successful Divisional/Business Manager within recruitment who is looking to further their career down a slightly different path. If this sounds like you then read on;

ROLE SPECIFICS:
  • Ensure the Cambridge business in on target across both the Back and Front of House business
  • Develop and mentor at least 2 Consultants and a Branch Resourcer to get the business over target
  • Ensure robust recruitment activity is taking place to fulfil business requirements and manage the Branch Resourcer to ensure the branch is fully compliant
  • Lead and mentor the team to develop their confidence with regards to sales, recruitment, financial awareness around targets and compliance
  • Lead and support the consultants with client servicing – attending review meetings, weekend and evening check-ins and organise quarterly and weekly on call rotas with the team so that clients and candidates can expect a consistent level of service particularly outside of normal office hours.
  • Attend key networking events and awards nights in line with the needs of the business and the wider Evolve Group
  • Inspire both your team and the wider Evolve Group with consistent behaviour and leadership in line with the Evolve values
SALARY & Benefits:
  • £41,000 per annum starting salary plus £4,000 car allowance with progression to £46,000 plus £4,000 car allowance upon successful performance review during first year
  • Monthly Commission: 5% of total monthly actual for the branch minus threshold
  • 0.5% of end of year bonus pot for the branch
  • 22 days holiday increasing to 23 days after 2 years and 25 days after 5 years service

HOURS:

45 hours per week over 7 days (predominantly Monday to Friday) but also to include evening and weekend check ins and on-calls on a planned quarterly rota with TOIL awarded back.

SKILLS & COMPETENCES:
  • Ability to consistently lead and develop a team to deliver the specific target within the branch
  • Drive sales and business development in the region including National and Local accounts and expand to other regions where necessary as the branch grows
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the commercial side of the business, using that to understand key differences between accounts and where to drive the business
  • Understand and work on both margin and profit reports to analyse and track the figures of the branch. Use these to work out the strengths and weaknesses of the whole branch and be able to break it down for the consultants
  • Collaborate with other Business Managers in the wider business to form a consistent partnership and set an example by solving problems together and mentoring junior members of the business.
  • Work with clients to plan, develop relationships and support consultants in building relationships either via check ins at key events, attend review meetings or working on site
  • Monitor KPI’s ensuring that financial targets, sales KPI’s and recruitment targets are exceeded
  • Develop a network within your area so that as you grow within Evolve your network and clients move with you
  • The ideal candidate will preferably come from a proven background in management within the Hospitality industry
