A Quick Intro: After more than 15 years in the hospitality industry and having worked for market leading brand names like Harrods, Orient Express, Sun International’s Sun City & The Palace Hotel, as well as the super luxury One & Only in Cape Town, my love for hospitality was the catalyst to open my own guesthouse, restaurant and wine business with my chef-husband. Being surrounded by 50 wine estates has proven to be my best and also toughest couple of years.
But this gave me great insight in the financial control behind a successful business and the value of the saying “the pennies make the pounds!” We decided to take an ‘adventure year’ and moved to the beautiful Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, and spent our days snorkelling and enjoying the island lifestyle. We exchanged the white sands for grey skies and relocated to the UK in 2012. I am a mum to a sports-mad 14-year-old boy (supporting Liverpool and the Springboks) and feel that dirty socks and muddy boots have overtaken my house!

Interesting Fact: I joined the South African Military Service and became a Lieutenant and received shooting medals for R4 and 9mm weapons – so watch it!
